Aunty Eliza says it was one of the best weekends she’s had out at Nowanup! People came from far and wide for the Nowanup Open Day and Djilba Camp, featuring cultural connection and healing led by Uncle Eugene Eades and supported by Uncle Colin Clinch. There was music, singing, yarns shared by Aunty Eliza and Aunty Annette, and a cultural cook up of Yonga stew and damper by Angel Eades and Deana Flowers. Musicians came from across the Great Southern, which got the dancing going.
Thanks to Lotterywest for funding this kind of community event and bringing a lot of joy and healing. The Friends of Nowanup did a fantastic job in a very short time of organising everything and helping the Eades family make it a down to earth, relaxed and welcoming day – ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ five stars for effort, everyone! Gondwana Link was glad to help!
