The first property secured!

After a conversation with The Wilderness Society’s David Mackenzie about the new Gondwana Link program, Eddy and Donna Wajon made a number of visits from Perth and are now purchasing two conservation properties in Gondwana Link. Legal transfer of ownership on the first purchase was finalised today, making them the proud owners of a 570 ha property just east of Corackerup Creek, in our initial focus area between Stirling Range and Fitzgerald River National Parks. The property is mostly good bush habitat with about 100 ha of cleared land. The purchase consolidates an important north-south link with the Pallinup River and coastal vegetation. Eddy and Donna are keen members of the WA Native Orchid Study & Conservation Group and listed over 20 orchids on their first day on this property. They are also finalising the purchase of another valuable conservation property, just west of the Stirling Ranges.
