Cocanarup Fire Recovery Campaign

January’s wildfire in the Fitzgerald River National Park also had a massive impact outside the park at Cocanarup. Many old salmon gums that were part of the region’s major Carnaby’s cockatoo nesting habitat were burnt, along with a vast area of their foraging vegetation. Other wildlife has been severely impacted too.

The local Cocanarup Conservation Alliance has launched the Cocanarup Fire Recovery Campaign, backed by numerous groups, including BirdLife and Gondwana Link. Please help fund the recovery effort. Your support will also bolster the passionate volunteers at the Cocanarup Conservation Alliance, who have been hit hard by the damage to habitats and wildlife.
