Eco-cultural science and art project across Gondwana Link

A major new ‘eco-cultural science and art’ project is underway across Gondwana Link (and we’re not even sure if that’s a category!). Lotterywest funding has been received to extend the Genestreams Gondwana Link Sculpture Trail. Nine new sculptures, both physical and augmented reality, will be established with communities across the Link to tell the ‘deep time’ evolutionary story and to celebrate Noongar culture.

It was great to host Albany MLA Rebecca Stephens and Aboriginal Affairs Minister Tony Buti to discuss our plans. The funding was also announced on the same day and at much the same time by lead artist Ben Beeton at the National Regional and Economic Development Summit in Toowoomba. Could be we will link this trail up across the continent! Many thanks to main funder Lotterywest, sponsors BlueScope Steel, Vulcan and Hartway Galvinizers, and contributing Shire Councils. We look forward to working with the nine local communities.
