Nowanup has a new tractor for its cultural program. Its purchase was made possible by a generous donation, a good discount, and additional funds from the Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal. The 80hp Kioti tractor will be used for property maintenance, building new infrastructure and for all sorts of jobs associated with the cultural exchange program and ecological restoration including Noongar designed plantings.
Noongar Elder Eugene Eades said the tractor would go a long way in helping with the work at Nowanup.
