Protecting nature can be a long game in Western Australia. In 1982 the ABC interviewed young Kingsley Dixon at Ravensthorpe about the loss of plant species to agricultural land clearing. Nearly 40 years later, the distinguished Professor Kingsley Dixon is still calling for the area’s extraordinary plant richness to be protected. His concern is shared by eminent local leaders, like Merle Bennett from the Ravensthorpe Regional Herbarium.
Produced for WA Museum Boola Bardip, where this film is also on display.
